Gai (Orenburgskaya oblast)
In 2014 JSC Gaisky GOK (UMMC mining company) invested about a half billion Rubles in more than twenty units of mobile mining machines.
The underground mine and shaft constructing administration of the enterprise received front end load haul dumpers, shaft bulldozers, fuel, lubricants and explosives delivery trucks. Besides of machinery from Poland, Germany, Finland and Australia the fleet was expanded by five front end load haul dumpers with lifting capacity of 10 tons produced in Russia (Magnitogorsk).
- This machinery went through initial tests at an underground mine. The manufacturers considered our requirements and today the machines are performing excavation as expected. – Vitaly Skomorokhov, Chief Mechanical Engineer of Gaisky GOK reported.
For the first time ever, the enterprise has received support equipment (a bulldozer and a grader) for maintenance of the underground road bed.
- While there is about 30 to 40 km of roads in Gai town, overall length of the underground mine road bed is 260 km. It should be constantly maintained, as life of mining machinery depends much on it, - Vitaliy Skomorokhov noted.
